Produced Water Hub

The client requested that Integrated Sustainability transform an existing borrow pit into a Lined Water Storage Pond/Water Hub in northeast British Columbia. The Pond will be used to store a combination of hydraulic fracturing fluid (flowback) and make-up source water, which could include saline groundwater, freshwater, or a combination of the two.

Flowback Water Sampling Program & Treatment Recommendations

Flowback sampling and analysis for baseline characterization, norm management, and treatment recommendations for reuse. The sampling was performed to provide a baseline characterization of the N2-foam linear gel flowback waters and determine the required treatment process for flowback reuse.

Produced Water Recycling Facility

Montney Field Development Phase 1 Water Treatment Facility

The water treatment system will provide treatment of produced water generated from the client’s operations. The water treatment system will treat for total suspended solids, iron, hydrogen sulphide, and bacteria. Treated produced water will meet the client’s post-treatment requirements.

Fracking Fluid Reuse Analysis

Prepare a sampling plan and conduct a compatibility analysis to assess feasibility of reusing hydraulic fracturing flowback for future completions.

Water Reuse for Slickwater Hydraulic Fracturing Activities

The client had requested that Integrated Sustainability complete a Water Reuse Strategy Evaluation that provided a recommendation regarding a water treatment process and associated infrastructure including storage, treatment processes, and equipment.

Water Reuse Strategy Evaluation

Reduce the operational costs for trucking and disposal of frac flowback and produced water by reusing as much as possible during future completions.
