Permitting and Authorization Identification for Wave Powered Reverse Osmosis Desalination

Oneka Technologies created a Sea Water Reverse Osmosis Unit that desalinates sea water into fresh potable water using only kinetic energy of ocean waves to drive this entire process. A small solar panel on top of the buoy provides power to the controls and communication back to shore. With extensive water treatment expertise and a Barbados office, Integrated Sustainability was retained by Oneka Technologies to navigate the regulatory landscape and process for implementation of the Sea Water Reverse Osmosis Unit in Barbados.

Preliminary Pipeline Design Development

Integrated sustainability was tasked by their client to develop a flexible pipeline design. This design was required to meet a range of volumetric flow rates due to uncertain client targets and future projections.

Engineering Services for Water Main Replacement

A small section of a potable water main on Salt Spring Island was exposed within a creek crossing and sustained external damage. Integrated Sustainability was retained to replace the section of the water main and install the new section one meter below the creek bed, as per updated BC regulatory guidelines.

Wastewater Management Strategy

Preliminary treatment system design, regulatory permitting and process identification, and capital/operational cost estimate analysis of preliminary design.

Baobab Solar Array

Agricultural operations can have significant power demands and can pay high electricity costs being tied into remote grid opportunities. Baobab farm was looking to reduce their energy cost.
