The Challenge
Agricultural operations can have significant power demands and can pay high electricity costs being tied into remote grid opportunities. Baobab farm was looking to reduce their energy cost.
The Result
Integrated Sustainability performed an energy assessment on Baobab farm as well as a site survey in order to identify cost effective alternative onsite power generation. A 10 kW solar array was installed in order to completely offset onsite electricity consumption. A 12-15 year payback was determined for the solar system along. Capital costs were further reduced by applying for the Growing Forward Onsite PV program for agricultural renewable installations.
