Feasibility Study and Engineering for Consolidating Two Mine Water Treatment Assets
Project Highlights
Integrated Sustainability conducted a study that evaluated optimization opportunities across two water treatment assets, we reviewed mine plan revisions, water chemistry impacts, and timing scenarios. We then advanced issued-for-approval engineering to underpin the feasibility study of a single consolidated water treatment plant.
Project Deliverables
- Completed a background data review and mine plan impact assessment, defining water balance, contaminant scenarios and optimization strategies with predicted operating savings.
- Developed updated conceptual block flow diagrams, mass balances and mechanical equipment lists for the consolidated treatment plant.
- Prepared plant layout and vendor building drawings aligned with feasibility and optimization requirements.
- Authored a technical memorandum summarizing optimization findings, feasibility conclusions and recommended strategies.
- Developed detailed piping and instrumentation diagrams illustrating process flow paths, control valve arrangements and instrumentation connections.
