The Challenge
Integrated Sustainability was asked to perform a critical evaluation of an existing conceptual design for a new river water intake. In addition, the client also requested that Integrated Sustainability identify areas for design improvement and modifications, if necessary. As an output of the review process the client required an updated conceptual design, a regulatory road map for project execution and a Class 5 cost estimate for engineering and construction.
The Result
Following the review of the existing conceptual design, Integrated Sustainability were able to identify a number of areas for design improvements. These design improvements meant that the conceptual design represented the most cost effective solution to the client that met their specific design requirements.
