Water Treatment Plant Operations
Project Overview
Integrated Sustainability designed and supplied equipment for an upgrade to an existing mine water treatment plant. Initial efforts focused on improving discharge quality and enabling gravity-fed operations to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Following commissioning, the scope
expanded to include full-service operational support under a phased contract, providing continuous plant performance management, technical troubleshooting, and collaborative integration with site personnel and First Nations-defined effluent targets.
Project Outcomes
- Delivered commissioning and support for ammonia and nitrogen removal systems to stabilize performance.
- Established a phased operational model with Integrated Sustainability assuming full control.
- Developed and implemented a 12-month preventative maintenance plan with budget forecasts, including maintenance support.
- Provided ongoing operations management, performance monitoring, and weekly engagement with the mine team to adjust treatment based on influent quality.
- Prepared regulatory and technical reporting packages, including monthly summaries of biological conditions, lab data, and health and safety metrics.
- Continue to provide long-term technical support for performance optimization, compliance tracking, and on-site troubleshooting as part of a five-year operations commitment.
