The Challenge
To design an upgraded river intake that reduces the volume of sediment that is introduced into the raw water supply system. The revised system is to provide increased reliability and easier maintenance. The new design required regulatory approval on a tight timeline and included field site assessments.
The Result
Integrated Sustainability developed and environmental protection and management plan to protect water quality, fish habitat and fish species to ensure no net loss of fish during construction.
Integrated Sustainability also developed preliminary design and regulatory application which were successfully submitted to the regulatory authorities with an approval to construct received. Subsequent to approval Integrated Sustainability delivered detailed Issued For Construction (IFC) drawings.
