Pulp and Paper Mill – Source Water Supply

The Challenge

Integrated Sustainability was asked to execute the engineering and regulatory services required to design and construct water supply infrastructure at a pulp and paper facility in southeastern British Columbia.

The Result

Services from Integrated Sustainability included a review of the existing river intake water supply infrastructure as well as a detailed analysis of potential water supply options, including an upgrade to the current system, a new surface water intake system, and a river bank filtration (RBF) system to access surface water supply through local alluvial materials.

Integrated Sustainability completed the drilling and completion of the alluvial aquifer source wells in proximity to the river, along with preliminary engineering work.
