We establish a shared hydrologic basis for runoff behaviour, then assess how stormwater controls interact with containment, treatment, water supply, reuse, mitigation, and discharge requirements.

How do you decide whether runoff should be diverted, contained, treated, reused, or discharged?

The management pathway depends on runoff quality, timing, volume, receiving capacity, and its role within the site water balance. Clean flows may bypass contact areas, while affected runoff may require attenuation, containment, treatment, reuse, or controlled discharge.

When should source control form part of a stormwater strategy?

Source control is included where clean-water separation or contact prevention materially reduces containment, treatment, or compliance obligations. It remains optional and only creates value when the separated water has a practical destination and the controls can be maintained.

How are stormwater reuse opportunities evaluated?

Available runoff is compared with a credible demand, then tested against seasonal availability, storage, treatment, and backup supply requirements. Reuse must not compromise flood storage or major-event response.

Can you support operating sites?

Yes. Our stormwater design services can be leveraged to support operating sites with inspections, condition assessments, compliance reviews, and targeted system upgrades. This work builds on existing infrastructure and does not replace site-led operations or routine monitoring programs.

How are erosion and sediment controls integrated with the permanent stormwater system?

Stormwater analysis identifies where concentrated flows, exposed ground, or changing drainage patterns could create erosion or sediment loading. We incorporate geotechnical input where soil conditions, slope stability, embankments, or ground treatment affect the design response.
