Climate-Related Risk & Resilience Assessments

Uncover risk exposure, vulnerabilities, and impacts to strengthen resilience

identify climate risk exposure and vulnerabilities to inform targeted action

Tailored process to assess impacts and define management practices

Many organizations struggle to formally identify, evaluate, and incorporate climate-related risks into existing enterprise risk management processes, limiting visibility into risk exposure, prioritization, and effective resource allocation. Our approach applies a structured methodology to identify relevant risks, evaluate impacts, and define monitoring and mitigation strategies. This enables a forward-looking understanding of risk exposure and vulnerabilities, providing clear, decision-useful insight into where action and resources should be focused, supporting operational, strategic, and capital planning decisions.

We align the assessment with existing risk frameworks where appropriate or establish fit-for-purpose criteria where processes are not yet defined. Through targeted stakeholder engagement, we support the integration of ongoing risk management practices while building internal capacity and awareness. The result is a practical and scalable approach that strengthens resilience and enables organizations to prioritize high-impact risks, focus resources effectively, and manage climate-related risks over time.

Sustainability Risk and Climate Resiliency Reporting, Consulting, and Advisory Services
sustained performance

Uncovering key insights for effective risk management as conditions evolve

Climate risks, regulatory expectations, and operating conditions continue to shift, requiring organizations to reassess and adapt risk evaluation and management over time. By establishing a structured understanding of climate-related risks, impacts, and mitigation strategies, we create a foundation that supports ongoing monitoring and risk-informed decision-making across operational and strategic planning. As new risks emerge or conditions change, this approach enables organizations to re-evaluate risk exposure, update assessments and refine strategies without reworking underlying processes.

Our approach supports consistent and credible integration of climate risk insights across operational, strategic, and disclosure contexts, while strengthening coordination, accountability, and long-term resilience.

Feasibility Assessments

Is this service intended to support climate-related disclosures?

It can. For organizations reporting under frameworks that require disclosure of climate-related risks and resilience strategies, this service provides foundational inputs to support those disclosures. However, its primary purpose is to assess and manage risk, with disclosure as a downstream application.

What information is required to perform this assessment?

We typically request information related to governance, risk management, operations, and strategy. This may include existing disclosures, greenhouse gas inventories and targets, corporate risk registers, asset inventories, fleet data, key operating regions, and strategic or financial plans. Where information is incomplete, we work with available data and apply structured assumptions as needed.

Do we need existing climate data or disclosures to get started?

No. While existing data and disclosures can strengthen the assessment, we can support organizations at early stages by working with available information and helping to identify gaps and priorities for improvement.

How does this integrate with existing risk management processes?

The assessment is designed to align with your existing enterprise risk management framework where possible, or to introduce fit-for-purpose criteria where gaps exist. This ensures outputs can be integrated into ongoing processes rather than operating as a standalone exercise.

When is this not the appropriate step?

This service may be less relevant where a recent, comprehensive climate risk assessment has already been completed and there have been no material changes to the organization’s operations, geographic exposure, regulatory environment, or market conditions. In these cases, effort is better focused on monitoring, updating, or integrating existing risk insights rather than re-performing a full assessment.
