Our approach to modular treatment trains

Preserve design intent with aligned incentives and controlled execution

Integrated Sustainability manufactures and integrates equipment, interconnecting piping, instrumentation, electrical systems, controls, housing, and supporting utilities to an agreed level of completion before delivery. This creates a defined system boundary for inspection, verification, installation, and commissioning.

System fabrication is an integral part of our asset delivery model. Because we design, and often operate, the systems we build, fabrication decisions carry direct performance and operational consequences for our teams. That incentive alignment drives prefabrication decisions that prioritize system reliability and accountability through delivery and into operation.

Pre-integrated systems for controlled deployment

Prefabrication enables equipment, housing, controls, internal utilities, and fabrication records to be managed against a common system basis rather than divided across disconnected supplier packages.

sustained performance

Supporting system reliability as conditions evolve

Treatment performance can deteriorate as influent quality, loading, equipment condition, controls, and operator response change over time. Our troubleshooting, plant operations, aftercare, and site monitoring teams use system data and field observations to identify whether issues originate in process conditions, equipment, controls, maintenance, or site integration.

This technical bench supports targeted corrective action, planned maintenance, component replacement, controls optimization, capacity adjustments, and treatment upgrades. Support can be right-sized from remote review and monitoring through onsite troubleshooting and operational involvement, helping restore performance without defaulting to unnecessary equipment changes.

Industrial Water Treatment Systems & Equipment Packages

What design information needs to be fixed before prefabrication can begin?

The process duty, operating envelope, equipment selection, controls philosophy, utility requirements, site interfaces, environmental conditions, and acceptance criteria need enough definition to support manufacture. Some detail can continue developing during fabrication, but changes affecting equipment layout, housing, utilities, controls, or external interfaces can create material rework.

How do you decide what should be verified in the factory and what must wait until site commissioning?

Factory testing should verify the functions that can be demonstrated without permanent site conditions, including equipment operation, instrumentation, control sequences, alarms, interlocks, communications, and internal system interactions. Hydraulic performance, treatment results, external utility integration, and compliance performance may still require onsite testing under representative operating conditions.

How are process performance responsibilities managed across equipment, controls, and site interfaces?

Performance responsibility depends on clear boundaries between the prefabricated system and the infrastructure supporting it. The design basis should define influent conditions, utility quality, hydraulic limits, external controls, downstream constraints, and operator responsibilities so performance expectations are not assigned to equipment outside the supplier’s control.

How should future capacity or treatment upgrades be considered during prefabrication?

Expected changes should be reflected in hydraulic allowances, electrical capacity, controls architecture, utility provision, physical access, and external connection points. Where future requirements remain uncertain, preserving defined expansion interfaces may be more practical than oversizing the original system.

How are third-party equipment packages integrated without fragmenting system accountability?

Third-party equipment is incorporated against a common process, mechanical, electrical, controls, and documentation basis. Interfaces, vendor responsibilities, warranty boundaries, testing requirements, and site support obligations are defined before manufacture so the completed system can be commissioned and supported as one coordinated asset.
