project details

600 m3/d Potable Water Treatment Plant Design & Build

project overview

Integrated Sustainability designed and built a 600 m3/d potable water treatment plant and a domestic wastewater treatment plant for an Indigenous community. The project utilized retrofitted equipment from a decommissioned U.S. facility, reducing costs and materials. Implemented power options that lowered reliance on the provincial grid, while the wastewater system achieved effluent quality for reuse and surface discharge.

project deliverables

  • Designed and constructed a potable water treatment plant with a minimum capacity of 600 m3/d.
  • Provided water as well as innovative best alternative power option solutions.
  • Conducted a power options review that identified ways to reduce the power demand for building heat and alternative sources, reducing dependence on provincial electrical grid tie in.
