Our approach to Corporate Sustainability Reporting

Developing a reporting regime that is structured and repeatable, scaled to your business context

Many organizations struggle to develop sustainability reports that reflect their actual priorities, align with evolving standards, and provide meaningful information to stakeholders. Our approach begins with defining a tailored sustainability reporting plan aligned with your organization’s priorities, capacity, and level of maturity. Through stakeholder engagement, we identify material topics, establish clear objectives, and define a realistic timeline to guide the reporting process and desired outcomes.

Considering your industry and business context, we recommend appropriate frameworks and standards to align disclosures with peer practices and evolving expectations. Using structured interviews and targeted questionnaires, we gather and validate inputs to develop a clear and cohesive disclosure, reflective of how your organization operates.

From initial development to design, we offer end-to-end support to deliver a structured, repeatable reporting process and a credible report that can evolve with your organization over time.

Supporting reporting maturity as expectations evolve

Sustainability reporting expectations continue to change alongside organizational shifts, emerging frameworks, regulatory developments, and increasing stakeholder scrutiny. By establishing a structured reporting foundation, organizations can adapt disclosures over time without reworking core processes.

Our approach supports continuous improvement by embedding clear methodologies, governance practices, and baseline data systems into your reporting framework. This enables organizations to enhance disclosure quality, respond to changing expectations, and progressively mature their sustainability reporting with confidence.

What documentation is required to develop a sustainability report?

We typically request information related to your organization’s operations, governance, and ESG performance. This may include existing policies, prior disclosures, ESG data (e.g., energy, emissions, workforce metrics), and strategic plans. Where information is limited, we work with available data and support gap identification.

How long does the report development process take?

A typical timeline for developing report content is approximately 3-4 months, depending on data availability and internal engagement. If design services are included, an additional 1-2 months is typically required.

How do you determine material topics for the report?

We recommend a structured materiality assessment that considers stakeholder input, industry standards, and business priorities. This ensures the report focuses on the most relevant ESG topics that impact your organization and are of interest to stakeholders. In lieu of a materiality assessment, we identify priority topics based on industry-specific guidance and leading standards and frameworks.

Do we need existing ESG data or prior reporting to get started?

No. We can support organizations at any stage of maturity. While existing data can enhance the process, we help identify data gaps, establish collection processes, and develop a report using available information.

Which frameworks or standards will the report align with?

We recommend and apply frameworks based on your industry, stakeholder expectations, and objectives. This may include GRI, ISSB, SASB, or other relevant standards to ensure your report is aligned with current best practices.
