Integrated Sustainability completed a Dam Consequence of Failure Classification for a proposed raw water reservoir. It adhered to provincial and international dam safety regulations, assessing potential downstream impacts. The evaluation supported off-season water supply reliability and considered risks to populations, environmental and cultural values, and infrastructure.

project deliverables

  • Completed the consequence of failure classification in accordance with the British Columbia Dam Safety Regulation (2016) and with the international committee on large dams small dams design, surveillance and rehabilitation bulletin No 157 (2016) regulations.
  • Assessed the potential downstream impact of the dam failure accordance with the 2007 Canadian Dam Association technical bulletin inundation, consequences, and classification for dam safety.
  • Completed thorough in-house technical and senior reviews of reports, calculations, and figures to confirm accuracy and consistency during all stages of assessments.
