Integrated Sustainability - Industrial Water Treatment Services and Equipment
project details

77,000 gpd Membrane Bioreactor Treatment Facility Design and Operations for a Luxury Resort

project overview

Rosewood Hotels retained Integrated Sustainability to convert a conventional sequencing batch reactor system to a membrane bioreactor within the existing facility footprint in Bermuda, increasing treatment capacity to 77,000 gpd. Following commissioning, the facility entered a long-term operations and maintenance program created by Integrated Sustainability, combining quarterly on-site service with remote monitoring to support reliable effluent quality and system uptime.

project deliverables

  • Audited the existing sequencing batch reactor system to determine reuse potential for tanks and mechanical assets.
  • Designed a custom retrofit to transition the facility to membrane bioreactor technology without expanding the plant’s footprint.
  • Supplied and installed new membrane systems and integrated them with retained infrastructure.
  • Commissioned and started up the upgraded treatment system, validating performance across all unit processes.
  • Performed full-service operations including inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance under a flexible service contract.
  • Replaced worn and defective parts from normal system use and monitored key process indicators remotely to guide site response.
