Integrated Sustainability designed a wastewater treatment plant capable of treating up to 320,000 m³/d, that incorporated tertiary water reuse, renewable energy, and nutrient recovery.

project deliverables

  • Developed a state-of-the-art waste-water treatment plant with a capacity of up to 204,000 m³/d, expandable to 320,000 m³/d.
  • High-quality reclaimed tertiary water reuse standard used for a wide range of non-potable water applications including green roof/landscape irrigation, toilet/urinal flushing, off site industrial uses, and plant process water to eliminate the need for potable water.
  • Created future proof plan so wastewater treatment plant can adapt to climate change impacts, population growth beyond the design capacity, & changes in regulatory requirements and resource recovery.
  • Integrated renewable energy and nutrient recovery capabilities, while enabling adaptability to climate change impacts, regulatory evolution, and population growth.
