project details

Technical Review and Technology Screening for Mine Water Treatment Compliance

project overview

Integrated Sustainability conducted a technical review and consultation to support a Best achievable Technology (BAT) assessment for a mining client. By evaluating background documentation and participating in methodology development and workshops, we helped guide the selection of appropriate technologies. Our involvement reinforced the assessment’s alignment with current regulatory expectations and industry standards.

project deliverables

  • Reviewed site-specific water chemistry data and treatment strategies to assess applicability of Best Available Technologies (BAT) and identify key knowledge gaps.
  • Evaluated the BAT assessment methodology for alignment with British Columbia’s regulatory framework, including links to site performance objectives and technology readiness assessment criteria.
  • Completed a detailed technical review of the draft BAT assessment document and provided recommendations for refinement and improvement.
  • Participated in stakeholder workshops to support development of technology screening methodologies and feasibility assessment criteria.
  • Contributed to a structured decision-making framework for BAT selection through technical evaluation and regulatory alignment support.
