Integrated Sustainability was engaged to independently review a mine site’s Best Achievable Technologies (BAT) assessment. We tested the process and draft report against British Columbia (B.C.) guidance, clarified data gaps, and contributed to workshops to improve rigor, clarity, and regulatory alignment as subject matter experts.

• Conducted a targeted review of water-related background documentation to contextualize site-specific conditions and identify information gaps relevant to Best Available Technology (BAT) development.
• Evaluated the proposed BAT process for alignment with British Columbia BAT guidance, identifying potential discrepancies, missing regulatory linkages, and opportunities for refinement.
• Performed a detailed technical review of the draft BAT documentation, providing tracked changes and commentary highlighting scientific, technical, and process-related strengths and weaknesses.
• Contributed expert technical input during 3 virtual workshops focused on technology screening, feasibility assessment criteria, and Multi-Criteria Analysis (MCA) methodologies.
• Prepared and submitted formal technical memoranda summarizing findings at each project stage to support documentation tracking, regulatory alignment, and knowledge transfer to the client team.
