Jon Fennell, Ph.D., M.Sc., P.Geol., is Vice President of Water Security & Climate Resiliency with more than 30 years of experience supporting natural resource, industrial, and infrastructure projects. His expertise spans groundwater systems, water supply and disposal, mine dewatering, cumulative effects assessment, climate risk analysis, and environmental forensics, including advanced geochemical and isotopic methods.
At Integrated Sustainability, Jon leads water security and climate resiliency initiatives, providing strategic and technical direction for groundwater characterization, regional monitoring frameworks, disposal feasibility, and regulatory compliance. He supports feasibility studies, EIAs, regulatory hearings, and long-range planning, working closely with operators, regulators, and government agencies across Canada and internationally.
Jon has advised provincial and federal governments on groundwater management frameworks, cumulative effects management, and climate adaptation strategies. His project experience includes oil sands, mining, energy, municipal, and international development projects. He holds a Ph.D. in Geochemistry, an M.Sc. in Hydrogeology, and a B.Sc. in Geology, and is registered as a Professional Geologist in multiple Canadian jurisdictions.
