The water treatment system will provide treatment of produced water generated from the client’s operations. The water treatment system will treat for total suspended solids, iron, hydrogen sulphide, and bacteria. Treated produced water will meet the client’s post-treatment requirements.

Develop a Water Security Management Plan (WSMP) for a customer that required an very high quality of water for industrial steam generation.

Changing regulatory requirements surrounding the use of fresh water for Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage (SAGD) heavy oil extraction resulted in the need for this study. Through it, Integrated Sustainability was able to provide a quantitative comparison of the capital, operational and maintenance costs of all feasible water options, while validating the basis of design and the technical feasibility of pipeline transport and on-site water treatment.

A small section of a potable water main on Salt Spring Island was exposed within a creek crossing and sustained external damage. Integrated Sustainability was retained to replace the section of the water main and install the new section one meter below the creek bed, as per updated BC regulatory guidelines.

Preliminary treatment system design, regulatory permitting and process identification, and capital/operational cost estimate analysis of preliminary design.

Complete a fire protection system plan for one of the largest crude oil rail loading facilities in North America. This was required to demonstrate to the local municipality that fire protection had been adequately considered at the front end engineering design stage of the project.

Evaluating water demand for a community potable water system along with identifying raw water reservoir development options

Develop a Water Security Management Plan (WSMP) with the goal of ensuring available source(s) of water to support future operations. The WSMP was also tasked with identifying suitable water disposal options, and ensuring the long-term viability and reliability of water sources and disposal zones.

Comprehensive mine closure planning balancing operational, ecological, and social considerations to support responsible resource management and post-closure land use optimization

Engineering design review, regulatory support, construction QA/QC, and comissioning to Convert approximately 62 acres of an existing landfill to an aerobic landfill designed to reduce methane content at the landfill and qualify for carbon credits.

Integrated Sustainability was commissioned to prepare a hydrogeological assessment in support of reopening a mine that has been in various stats of operation since the 1970’s.
