3000m3/day Facility Engineering & Class 4 Cost Estimate
Project Highlights
Integrated Sustainability was contracted to conduct feasibility engineering and cost estimation for a 3,000 m³/day mine water treatment plant. The design included advanced treatment technologies and explored preconditioning options.
Project Deliverables
- Developed a high-density sludge system to reduce dissolved metals including copper, cadmium, and iron through optimized pH and sludge recirculation
- Designed a ferric co-precipitation unit to achieve arsenic removal in compliance with discharge criteria
- Engineered a full-scale moving bed biofilm reactor (MBBR) system for ammonia treatment, tailored to a peak flow of 3,000 m³/day
- Included process tanks, clarification unit, and filter press for sludge dewatering as part of the complete process flow
- Conducted feasibility-level discipline engineering across civil, mechanical, electrical, and process disciplines
- Generated Class 4 cost estimates aligned with feasibility-level design, incorporating capital savings from ammonia system size optimization
- Evaluated influent characteristics to assess potential for system preconditioning
