The Challenge
Integrated Sustainability was asked to evaluate pipeline crossing remedial solutions and provide an Issued for Construction drawing and specifications package for the most suitable solution for the Freeman Creek location.
The Result
Integrated Sustainability identified that an open excavation and rip-rap armouring solution was most suitable. Using rip-rap armouring and coarse-grained material provided an opportunity to enhance the disturbed aquatic habitat. The final design drawings and specifications included civil earthworks, river bank stabilization techniques, aquatic habitat considerations, and environmental design parameters.
