BC Government (Re)Suspends Water Diversions for Oil and Gas
This month the British Columbia Energy Regulator suspended water diversions from northern BC watersheds just 24 days after lifting restrictions. Suspension orders are historically issued toward the end of summer and early fall, and this marked change reflects the continued low stream flow from earlier in the season.
With drought conditions across the border inducing wildfires in northern Alberta, there is a significant risk to producers’ operations. To develop your water conservation strategies, operate responsibly, and maintain production uptime, please reach out to Jen Keturakis.
