As a Lab Technician, you will play a key role in supporting our research by conducting laboratory tests, analyzing results, and maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient lab environment.
Your role will contribute to our mission of developing sustainable water treatment solutions through precise data collection and analysis within a collaborative, purpose-driven team.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine and specialized laboratory tests related to water quality, treatment processes, and environmental analysis.
- Carry out pilot-scale trials, sampling, and measurements for laboratory experiments.
- Record, analyze, and interpret pilot and full-scale water treatment systems.
- Contribute to sampling programs, assisting team members with hands-on sampling.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Document formatting, electronic file management for projects (Uploading, naming, updating).
- Work closely with scientists and engineers to support research and development projects.
- Support and improve upon processes that enhance productivity and efficiency.
Position Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Biology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on laboratory experience, with a focus on water, waste, and environmental testing.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Strong communication and organization skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Legally able to work in Canada.
